• for video the VOBs in VIDEO_TS could be concatenated using dvd2concat
• dvdbackup or mplayer with -dumpstream could be used for decrypting
• converting with ffmpeg -fflags +genpts -analyzeduration 1000000k -probesize 1000000k -i mymovie.vob -c copy -map 0 mymovie.mkv
